Principal´s message

Dear friends,

By way of these webpages, we would like to present Begoñazpi Ikastola’s Project to you. A project thought of for the families (fathers, mothers and students) from Bilbao and its surroundings. A project which we, everyone who works in the Ikastola, put forward with the hope that all our students receive the best education in all respects, not only in regards to knowledge but values as well. We devote our attention to them during their entire educational stage at the Ikastola, which is from the ages of 2 to 18.

We are committed to enhancement and innovation as we live in a society which is more and more demanding, global and ever-changing as time goes by. Yet one cannot forget that the most important thing is the person, and as an intricate part of their personality, we promote the learning of the language, culture and history of the Basque Country and the Catholic Church’s message.

We are an Ikastola which is open to the world. We would like our students to get to know and value other peoples, cultures, languages and so forth. Therefore, we develop a variety of programs with other centres in other countries and encourage language learning which enriches their communicative ability.

The Ikastola seeks to obtain good results with its students and be an active agent in the society which it also serves. As well as participating in the education of numerous boys and girls, we encourage solidarity by taking part in noble causes.

Begoñazpi Ikastola is a great Project which all of us are undertaking, not only those of us who encourage an Educational Community yet all our allies as well. You can also take part.
