Educational project

Assesment

Assessment is understood as the process where one becomes aware and both the degree of consequence of this Educational Project's objectives as well as the needs which are being detected in the effort to obtain them.

This requires that all those agents involved in the Project:

  • Objectively know from what real situations one starts off from.
  • Know the difficulties which arise in the carrying out of diverse planned activities and contribute the necessary means.
  • Use a variety of complementary means in order to see the educational process objectively. Thus, the assessment requires cooperative group work.
  • Be able to see the final results of each stage of the process in an objective way, with aims to enhance the Educational Project and the objectives of each and every stage of the education period.

Bearing in mind the objective of a student's full education, one will try to define the criteria and methods of assessing the foreseen development in all students' abilities.

The differentiating characteristics of each stage in the development should clearly distinguish the way the assessment is to be looked at. This way, in E.S.O., the necessary progressive adaptation towards methods of assessment which students will encounter in latter training cycles will be taken into account.

Finally, as this Educational Project is an undertaking of the whole Educational Community, it is necessary that each and every educational agent take part in becoming aware of his/her own intervention. Owing to this, students should get used to participating in their own assessment. Even teachers will assess their own work, and by means of their management team, the Educational Community will assess the soundness and efficiency of this Educational Project.
