BEGOÑAZPI IKASTOLA

Identity

Begoñazpi Ikastola is a school which is promoted by the Diocese of Bilbao in order to transmit the Catholic Church's message and place it at the service of those students to whom we educate.

It is a school which teaches Pre-School, Primary, Secondary and Bachillerato Education.

As it is a Diocese school, its educational project adopts a Christian value system, that is, the Educational Community acknowledges the fact that the social coexistence is based on a living God who manifests himself in Jesus of Nazaret. This conviction is not felt as that of an imposed obligation but that of a source which provides full meaning to the values which are shared with those who do not necessarily share the same beliefs.

As an Ikastola, the teaching will be entirely in model D, fostering the surroundings' Basque: Biscayan Basque to a communicative and educational level. Moreover, in higher levels the training of Batua Basque is offered as well.
