Methodology

In order to obtain these objectives, the following methodological and advisory key factors are adopted:

• 1. Make our students be active elements and agents of their own development, with the understanding that the student be capable of making their own decisions, organise his/her own time and assess his/her work.



• 2. Learning will be meaningful, that is to say, it will foster content and process acquisition, which makes students be more autonomous to learn and carry out actions.
  
  

• 3. The effort to learn will be guided towards the development of all abilities (cognitive, emotional, expressive, motor and social), bearing in mind students' needs at different stages of development and during real acquisitions.
  
  
• 4. Pedagogy of effort will be advocated, as it is of essence to understand that learning is an arduous process for some students. As a result, these students must get used to the necessary effort by providing them with precise organizational study techniques.
  
  
• 5. Pedagogy of diversity will be dealt with where each tutor will try to respond to the challenge of diversity in situations within the student body. Preventive measures regarding different learning techniques and curricular adaptations is considered a must. Tutors, with the help of the guidance counselling department, will set the objectives and means of their advisory function during the different stages.
  
  
• 6. Group work will be fostered within the teaching staff as well as within the student body with the aim of fostering coordination, learning, efficiency and the satisfaction of work well done.
  
  
• 7. Schooling in model D and the command of Basque is enriching for all students. Given Basque's social situation, it is of essence to carry out some actions which are of a priority:
  
  
• a) Look after and intensify Basque didactics as well as an improvement in resources.
• b) Take the necessary steps to intensify the use of Basque, not only during school hours yet also during extracurricular activities.
• c) Maintain the effort of this learning, not only as far as teachers are concerned but also as parents by finding necessary support with the aim that students make Euskera their own language.
• It is of essence that parents not be satisfied with trusting teachers with this chore as they themselves should be involved in the improvement of the use of Basque.
