COOPERATIVE LEARNING IN INFANT EDUCATION: CONSOLIDATING FOUNDATIONS
Tuesday, 15 june, 2010
We continue consolidating cooperative learning foundations in Infant Education. After having started to establish different cooperative learning dynamics with our five year olds, we have now started to promote cooperative learning among 3 and 5 year olds.
To do so, each of the classrooms for five year olds has taken responsibility of a classroom for three year olds with the aim of helping each child in the area in which they require the most help. This way, we have worked different learning aspects such as: attention, cognitive and physical development, drawing, cleanliness and so on.
This has been a positive experience. Our five year olds have been extremely happy being "teachers" and for the three year olds it has been wonderful to work with their new "teachers."
