Objectives

The following is therefore a summary of the objectives which Begoñazpi Ikastola proposes:

• 1. Enable the student to fully develop himself/herself in harmony by means of personalised education and adequate pedagogy for freedom so as to do so in all fields of one's personal, family, social and professional life.



• 2. Establish the student-group-center in relation to the social, economic, and cultural environment, by means of opening and communicative channels which will boost it:
  
  
• a) Basque acquisition, enhancement and use in all scopes of one's life.
• b) Education in a sociocultural context and in the historical tradition of Euskadi and Bizkaia with all its values.
• c) A critical and constructive assessment of their events and situations.

• 3. Develop both intellectual abilities and work ethics such as scientific and humanistic education in a balanced way.
  
  
• 4.Educate in the welcoming and appreciation of other peoples and cultures so as to know how to both communicate and welcome existing diversities in value systems, from a spirit of cooperative and peaceful solidarity.
  
  
• 5. Encourage a style of personal relationships and behavioural patterns which based on authentic respect stimulate active partaking in the educational community and in one's own social life.
  
  
• 6. Propose a person's, the world's and history's Christian outlook, therefore establishing a permanent link between faith and everchanging culture. Thus, encouraging a lifestyle based on the values of the Gospel and educating in a social awareness which will lead to transforming commitment.
  
  
• 7. Foster experiences concerning faith and gestures of brotherhood which contribute towards being able to value the feeling of a sense of belonging to the local and universal church.
  
  
• 8. Educate within equal rights without any discrimination concerning gender and social conditions.
  
  
• 9. Educate within respect, care and enhancement of the environment, developing a personal and collective sensitivity towards our natural surroundings and trying to create an awareness concerning well-balanced consumption.
  
  
• 10. Foster creative ability, developing the possibilities each person has to the limit.
  
  
• 11. Encourage a constructive, critical spirit channeling towards solutions to problems or new alternatives.
