Principal's Letter

  By way of these web pages we would like to present to you Ikastola Begoñazpi's
  Project. A Project thought about by the families (fathers, mothers and boys and girls)   of Bilbao and its immediate surroundings. A Project which all of us who work in the   Ikastola put forward, with the illusion that all our pupils would have a better   education in all aspects be they respective to knowledge or to social values. We   devote our attention to them from the ages of 2-18.

We have a compromise to betterment and innovation because we live in a society which is everyday more demanding, more worldly and more subject to change, but we never forget how important the individual is, and how equally important it is to promote the learning of the language, culture and history of the Basque people and the message of the Catholic Church. We are an Ikastola open to the world. We want our students to know and value other peoples, other cultures and other languages. For this reason we continue to develop numerous programmes with other educational centres in other countries and encourage the learning of language to enrich the capacity for communication.

  The Ikastola seeks to obtain good results from its pupils and, as such, to be an   active agent in the society which it also serves. As well as participiting in the   education of many children we encourage solidarity and taking part in worthwhile   causes.

  Begoñazpi Ikastola is a great Project that all of us are undertaking, not only from the   point of view of the Educational Community but from all our allies. You can take part   as well.
